Update on Kharizzmatik

Hello Ladies,

We have been asked by @SuperDotato to post an update on @kharizzmatik. In order to preserve their privacy, this will be brief, while answering some questions but not all. First, Kharizzmatik is currently in hospital and will be there for an unspecified time. She is being treated for symptoms associated with the Swine Flu. As many of you are aware, swine flu is a very dangerous, contagious disease that can be debilitating for its victims. Those at the greatest risk are small children and expectant mothers. At this juncture, we will not discuss the prognosis other than to say that she is in hospital and being treated accordingly. Kharizzmatik has suffered a miscarriage as a result of the Swine Flu diagnosis. No further information will be shared or given at this time.

Each of us understands that you all have questions, that you are concerned. Your concern is appreciated and is well received. However, concern can not usurp the need for privacy at this difficult time. Therefore, on behalf of @SuperDotato, we ask that you please not contact him at this time. While he is overwhelmed by the outpouring of affection toward Khar, his focus must be on her. The abundance of tweets prevents him from informing those closest to Khar, hence any updates are delayed. We are asking, at the behest of @SuperDotato and @kharizzmatik that you please do not contact either until further notice. Allow them this time to focus on recovery and healing. Respect their privacy.

Many of you have inquired about the status of EP. At this time, it will be on hiatus indefinitely in light of the circumstances. Please do not PM, e-mail or DM Kharizzmatik requesting to know when an update will be posted. If you hear of someone inquiring of said update, direct them to this post or inform them of the current state of events. EP will be completed, but allow for this time for the author. Again, allow us to reiterate that we will not be answering your questions. @SuperDotato will not be answering any questions beyond a generalized update. Please do not ask. Your curiosity as to the well-being of kharizzmatik is welcomed, however please use caution and wisdom. Behave as if this were you or your loved one.

We appreciate your thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time, and we appreciate your understanding. We will update you on her condition as we can.

    This is a rough time for you both, and just know that when things calm down and you're both back on your feet, we're here waiting. And know that you've got a wonderful community here at anytime.     I honestly have no clue what to say. The words "I'm sorry" don't sound nearly sufficient, but it's all I've got at this point. I am so, so sorry you're having to go through this.     I am so, so sorry. Please know that I have been thinking about you since last night hoping for almost any other outcome. I lost a baby almost two years ago and the only thing that taught me is that there isn't a fucking thing that anyone can say or do to make it better.

    I understand wanting to just be left alone, but please don't pull away from each other. I had such a hard time talking anyone, even my husband. That being said, if there is anything that I can do to help either of you, please let me know. Ben--if you want to talk to someone about what Khar is going through, I'm available or can put you in touch with my husband if you'd rather.

    I hope I haven't stepped over the line. (I've spent over an hour just trying to decide whether to even post this at all.) I know we're strangers, but my heart goes out to you both. I'll do my best to mind my own business and give you space and privacy. Please don't think that because I'm not @messaging you, I'm not thinking about you...

    Dear Jess and Ben,

    I am in shock, tears and disbelief, this is so unreal. I am so very sorry about your loss and hope you both have the strength to carry on and be there for the little man who needs you just as much. Ben you will need all you have to take care of your family and I just hope that you will be able to. You are in my thoughts and prayers every day.
    Jess, you know how much we all adore you, you're one of the most amazing people in the whole fandom.

    wow.. don't even know what to say. I can just hope Ben and Jess can get better and pray for them. It's a shitty thing to happen but do not see it as the end of the road. Everything will heal and get better and someday ahead you two will look at this and see that happened to make u both strong.

    There is nothing I can say. I can't say how sorry I am, because words can't express that. I hate how devastating this is. I know what it's like to be in a family where all of this is going down. My sister just lost her baby when she got sick with swine flu. And as an outsider, I can see how it is tearing her marriage apart right now. Word of advice: Don't be afraid to lean on each other. You're going to need it.

    I'm not really the type of person to say I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I'm not the most religious person in the world. But I will say that I'll keep you in my thoughts. I know the two of you are strong enough to make it through this.

    As a writer, it isn't often that I find myself without words. Unfortunately this is one of those times when nothing seems sufficient. There are no words that can convey to you how sorry I am that you two are having to go through this. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. You guys will be in my thoughts & prayers.

    I will share that I also miscarried a child and it is the single most painful thing I've ever been through. The three things I learned are that you do get through it, the world continues to turn even when your heart is breaking, and that anger over those facts is completely normal and acceptable. I almost lost my marriage over it and I hope that doesn't happen to you two. The only thing that healed the hurt between me and him was when he finally opened up and communicated how much the miscarriage affected him. He stopped being strong and silent and it helped me stop feeling so alone.

    I wish for you a speedy physical recovery and peace during the sad and hard times. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.
